Example Problem: A couple years ago a “Fortune 500 Company” approached us looking to save money by recycling, and cleaning their filter bags. This company mixed animal fats into food coatings. This ranged from honey to jalapeño, or cheese coatings for patio chips. Removing this off of a filter bag was a real challenge due to the fatty deposits left on the filters and requiring that after cleaning it can be put back into a food-manufacturing environment.
Solution: Our chemical engineer went to work breaking down and analyzing the gooey deposit left on the filters. After about 40 hours of trying solution after solution (some times just a trial and error method) she was able to develop a solution, which worked. The solution was developed and a final sanitization dip was added to insure the quality of the product for food. They have been a satisfied, loyal customer ever since.
